Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke To Go Off Air, To Be Replaced By Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2

Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 had been all over the news for some time now. After the viral 'Rasode me kaun tha' video, fans had a surprise waiting. The makers announced the second season of the family drama and the show will see the return of Devoleena Bhattacharjee as Gopi Bau, Rupal Patel as Kokilaben and Mohammad Nazim as Aham Modi. The show will also see new entrants. While reports initially suggested that it would replace Kasautii Zindagii Kay, the makers clarified that the show is yet to be shot. But now, we have learnt that it might replace Yeh Ristey Hai Pyaar Ke. Yes, the Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma starrer will be going off air soon.

The last day of shoot has not been revealed yet, however, Rajan Shahi himself confirmed the news to TOI. He said, "I learnt about the decision of wrapping up ‘YRHPK’. However, we will continue to shoot the way we have been — with the same energy and enthusiasm — till we bid adieu to the audience. It was coming together of a great team — be it the actors, crew or technicians. ‘YRHPK’ has been all about optimism and positivity. It has enjoyed a good run and we have created some great memories. The show has become a brand and you never know, we might reunite later.”

While the promise of a second part is heartening, the audiences will still miss the show now. YRHPK used to air at 10pm and was one of the shows that would get massive TRPs. It dropped after it was moved to the 9pm slot.
