Gethu Release Date Postponed for Pongal

It appears like the unfortunate heavy rains in Chennai could also not sympathize with the cinema of Tamil Nadu. No doubts why the filmmakers here are struggling to announce a confirmed release date for their movies. Gethu, an upcoming action film, is likely to leave movie enthusiasts under confusion regarding its availability on silver screens.

Directed by Thirukumaran, the action entertainer was scheduled to be released on December 18. However, reports claim that the earlier confirmed date has now been put off and the movie might hit the theatres along with Pongal. In addition to this, music of the Tamil movie is slated to be launched on December 25.

Udhayanidhi Stalin starrer Gethu will also cast Amy Jackson in the female lead role. The soundtrack and background score for the movie has been composed by Harris Jayaraj. The action drama is likely to clash with other films - Kathakali, Rajini Murugan and Tharai Thappattai - prospected to be released during the same time.
