    Prabhu Thrash ‘Mannan’ Remake Reports

Yesterday it was reported that Vijay will star in the remake of superstar Rajinikanth’s 1992 blockbuster 'Mannan' by director P. Vasu. Speculations were that the Puli actor would start shooting for the film once he wraps up his 60th film with director Bharathan. It was being said that the film would be directed by K.S.Ravikumar and will be bankrolled under Sivaji Production, who also produced the original.

According to reports, Prabhu, son of legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan and one of the current proprietors Sivaji Production, has thrashed the reports. He said that these were just baseless rumours and nothing else. He cleared that he has no plans to remake ‘Mannan’ with Vijay in it.

Currently, Vijay is busy with his upcoming film ‘Theri’. Reports suggest that the film will be wrapped by Pongal 2016 and will hit the screens in April. The film has been directed by Atlee and features Samantha and Amy Jackson.
