Shankar Mahadevan Now Recovering

Two back-to-back heart attacks sent renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan to the ICU unit of a hospital in Delhi yesterday. Shankar is now out of danger and is recovering from the event. His son, Siddharth revealed, “It was mainly due to exhaustion. Dad underwent angioplasty on the first day itself when he was hospitalised. Thankfully, there weren’t any major blockages. He is recuperating well and the doctors said he would be discharged within a day or two”.

Shankar was complained of severe chest some time after his performance at Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s daughter Sonali’s sangeet. He was supposed to woo the crowd in Rajkot and Mumbai but those performances were cancelled. Now thankfully, the singer is in better shape.

Shankar thanked everyone for their prayers through a twitter post that read, “My dearest friends and well wishers, I have no words to express my gratitude for the amount of love and prayers I’ve received in the past few days when I was going through a health problem. By God’s blessings, your positive energy and some excellent doctors, all the procedures were successful and I’m recovering very well. Waiting to come and rock with ya’ll soon! Lots of love and hugs, Shankar Mahadevan”.
