Piracy is one of the major problems faced by all the film industries. Though, many stars from different industries have slammed every piracy incident, but still much has not been done to stop it. The latest to become the victim of piracy is Suriya’s recent release ‘24’.

The flick released on May 6 and before completing even two weeks at the box office, the pirated version of the Vikram Kumar directorial has been found. Producer Gnanavel Raja, who’s Studio Green has distribution rights of the flick, has announced indefinite hunger strike. He said, "I've been on hunger strike since Friday evening. It's time to act together as an industry."

Reports suggest that the film was pirated on its opening day in Bengaluru. The science fiction thriller has been doing spectacular business at the box office, but incidents like these will definitely affect film’s business. Recently, a pirated copy of Vijay’s ‘Theri’ was also screened in a private travel bus.
