Sudheer Varma Has Learnt From His Dochay Debacle

Director Sudheer Varma is quite new to the Tollywood industry with only two films in his kitty. His third project will soon hit the screens on May 19 and is titled ‘Keshava’. The director’s first film ‘Swami Ra Ra’ did quite well at the box office and was also appreciated by the audiences. But, his second outing, ‘Dochay’, failed to perform well. Sudheer has accepted and learnt from his mistakes, trying to not repeat them for his third venture.

“I am taking responsibility for it as I might have got carried away with the success of my debut film”, he shared, talking about ‘Dochay’. “The problem in Dochay was that I repeated most of the actors from my debut film. So, it was pointed out that I had repeated the plot too. I don’t want to make the same mistake with Keshava. So, except for Nikhil, I have not repeated any of the actors from my earlier films”, he went on to explain.

The director also spoke about the characters in the project and revealed that Nikhil will play the role of a Brahmin boy while the lead actress, Ritu Varma, plays a law student. It is being touted as a revenge drama with “elements of thrill and emotions”. Sudheer is confident that the movie will do well at the box office.
