A new crop of 'film families' is coming up in Bollywood courtesy of 'outsiders' and this is an irony alert

Nepotism is one word which has gained currency in Bollywood in a big way in recent years. The word is often used in a derogatory way to target film families of the industry whose kids are gaining from the connections of their ancestors. While social media finds new targets everyday to blame for what is apparently a menace for ‘outsiders’ in Bollywood, a new breed of celebrities is cropping up right under our noses using the ‘family card’ and who can blame them?

What’s ironic is that many stars who are deemed ‘outsiders’ are ones now establishing their own film families in Bollywood. These supposedly new ‘film families’ have us confused it if it indeed nepotism or just a plain win for outsiders who have fought the odds and encroached the territory of the ‘family led’ industry.
