Andor Episode 4 Review - Cassian preps for a heist in an episode that is a great set up the larger narrative
    Updated : September 28, 2022 01:47 PM IST

The fourth episode titled "Aldhani" and directed by Susanna White picks up immediately after the events of the last episode with Rael played by Luthen Rael and Cassian Andor played by Diego Luna escaping the planet Ferrix.

Rael asks Andor to join the rebels as a mercenary and immediately drops him off on a mission in which he will be taking part in a heist along with seven others.

The episode continues the pacing of the first two episodes and is largely built up for what is coming but the fact that there will be a payoff makes with worthwhile.

The episode also establishes the larger scope of the rebel alliance and how even its top members feared for their lives when it started out, this is done by introducing Mon Mothma played by Genevieve O'Reilly.

Mothma is an imperial senator who is secretly helping the rebels and is the co-founder of the Rebel Alliance, meanwhile, Cassian has joined a team of rebels as they prepare to steal the imperial payroll for an entire sector, and the lack of trust between the team and Cassian is well established.

There is visible tension between all of them and gives us great insight into how the rebel's set of operations and how information is also on a need-to-know basis, this helps the show further establish its roots as a spy thriller.

Overall the fourth episode is an enjoyable experience but I would recommend if you have haven't seen the show yet or can wait for a few weeks, to watch the show in one go as the payoff would be better and it would greatly improve your viewing experience.

The first four episodes of Andor are streaming on Disney+, with new episodes every Wednesday.
