Disney+ drops new special look trailer for its upcoming dark fantasy series Willow

    The new trailer for the upcoming sequel series has Warwick Davis' Nelwyn sorcerer Willow Ufgood take on the forces of evil with a flamethrower.

    For the uninitiated, the upcoming series is a sequel to Ron Howard's 1988 fantasy movie Willow . Which followed the journey of Willow Ufgood a sorcerer who must protect a child who is prophesied to stop the reign of the evil sorceress Queen Bavmorda.

    The movie despite receiving mixed responses from critics went on o receive two Oscar nominations aswell as develop a cult following.

    The trailer returns fans to the fantasy realm of the Western Continent and is set many years after the movie's events. we see Willow guide a team of new adventures to stop the darkness from taking over the land.

    From the looks of the trailer, it seems that the series does retain the original charm and sense of humor that made the movie so special.

    At the conclusion of the 1988 movie, Willow achieved his dream of becoming a sorcerer. From the trailer, it is clear that he has used his time well as he seems to have mastered new spells as well as invented devices to help him and his fellow adventures on their quest most noticeably a flamethrower.

    Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are the executive producers of the series with Jonathan Kasdan serving as showrunner.

    The first episode of Willow will stream on Disney+ on November 30, 2022.
