Indian Police Force: Sidharth Malhotra makes an impressive entry as the hero of Rohit Shetty’s digital cop universe

Sidharth Malhotra has been roped in to be the newest action hero in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. This time the filmmaker will take the digital platform by storm with an 8 part web series, titled Indian Police Force.

One of the most popular filmmakers of the Indian film industry, Rohit Shetty has successfully been entertaining audiences since the last 19 years. His body of work features many super hits including the Golmaal series, Chennai Express and of course, the most talked about and loved of them all, his cop universe. After leaving fans in awe with Ajay Devgn ’s Singham and Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba, he introduced us to Akshay Kumar aka Sooryavanshi last year. Well, much to our delight, the filmmaker is now going digital with a brand new cop drama!

This time Shetty has roped in Sidharth Malhotra to be the newest hero in his cop universe, which is taking the OTT route. That’s right! The team took to social media a little while ago to announce their very first web series on Amazon Prime Video . The eight part high octane action series has been titled Indian Police Force, and Sidharth’s first look as a cop has left us drooling! Expressing his excitement about the project, the actor shared, “When @itsrohitshetty sir says Action , you know he literally means it! Super stoked to enter the cop universe with the action king himself!”

Not just fans but even celebrities were blown away by this spectacular announcement video. In the comment section below, filmmaker Milap Zaveri wrote: “Aaya Police!!! Uniform mein ekdum form mein lag raha hai tu.” Well, we can’t help but agree. The uniform perfectly fits Sidharth and reminds us of the incredible job he did in his last film Shershaah, which featured him as a fearless army officer. Vastly different characters, but the powerful persona is consistent!

How excited are you about this new addition in Rohit Shetty’s popular cop universe?
