Taali Twitter review: Sushmita Sen delivers 'terrific' performance as transgender Gauri Sawant in hard-hitting series

Sushmita Sen’s much-awaited Taali, a biographical drama series on transgender and social activist Gauri Sawant, finally dropped on Independence Day. The series has largely received positive responses from viewers on social media. A section of people was bowled over by Sushmita’s performance and called it ‘phenomenal’. Ravi Jadhav’s directorial is also being hailed as a hard-hitting and emotional story. The series began streaming on JioCinema on August 15, 2023. 

Taali highlights Gauri’s daring transformation, her journey towards motherhood, and the battle she led for the inclusion of the 3rd gender in every document in India. Sushmita earlier expressed gratitude to all her transgender co-stars of Taali. Taking to Instagram, she shared stills from the series along with a sweet note. “The power of inclusion!!!!
