    Actor Rituraj Singh who is known for appearing in many acclaimed TV shows, movies, and web series has passed away due to a cardiac arrest. He was 59 years of age. Rituraj was battling a pancreatic disease and was hospitalized recently. He died yesterday night (February 19) succumbing to his illnesses.

    His close friend and actor Amit Behl confirmed the news of his passing. He revealed to Etimes, “Yes he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for treatment of pancreas returned home had some cardiac complications and passed away.”

    Rituraj recently became a household name for his performance in the popular TV show Anupamaa. He was also seen as the antagonist in the Rohit Shetty directorial web series, Indian Police Force. Before that, Singh appeared in many films, including Yaariyan 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Satyameva Jayate 2.

    Varun Dhawan mourned the loss of the actor with a heartwarming post on his Instagram story. Singh had essayed the role of Varun's father in Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The late actor's Anupamaa co-star Rupali Ganguly also paid tribute to him in a sentimental post. Take a look.

    Talking about TV shows, Rituraj appeared in several popular shows like Laado 2, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Hitler Didi, CID, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, and Ghar Ek Mandir. He played Radhika Apte’s father in the latest season of Made In Heaven. He furthermore was seen in other acclaimed web series like Criminal Justice, The Test Case, and Bandish Bandits.

    He was born in Kota, Rajasthan. He did his schooling in Delhi and moved to the United States at a young age. The late actor worked in the theatre in Delhi along with Barry John's Theatre Action Group (TAG) for 12 years He was the batchmate of superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the theatre group. He also made an appearance in the game show, Tol Mol Ke Bol. In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, reflecting on his journey in the entertainment industry, he said, “On the small screen, I have worked for all channels and every maker has repeated me multiple times. Now, the same thing is happening with OTT and films. Before I finish one, I have something or the other in hand.” Desimartini shares its heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
