'Bigg Boss 16 is giving constant support to criminals' : After Sajid Khan, fans angry on Shalin Bhanot after ex-wife's video goes viral

It is not a hidden fact that Bigg Boss 16 is hogging quite a lot of limelight and not for very pleasant reasons. Earlier today (October 6) Twitter grappled with the trend of ‘Remove Sajid Khan ’ as the director has a string of serious MeToo allegations from around 9 women. Now, after him, another male contestant from the show is being heavily criticized by the netizens.

Yes, we are talking about none other than actor Shalin Bhanot who has been facing the brunt of many netizens after a video of his ex-wife Daljeet Kaur has been going viral on social media. For the unversed, Shalin and Daljeet’s marriage had hit rock bottom in the year 2015 after the latter accused him of alleged domestic abuse and violence. The couple also has a son from the marriage.

The video has Daljeet Kaur carrying her small son in her arms while talking about her plight to a news channel. Daljeet can be seen talking about her struggles during the court proceedings to facilitate her separation from Shalin Bhanot. A teary-eyed Daljeet can be seen saying how she has no influential or financial backing behind her to help her in this crisis-like situation. She further demands justice from the court of law and says that she is scared for her and her son’s safety. Take a look at the video.

Soon, netizens started hurling several brickbats at Shalin Bhanot too accusing him to be an alleged wife beater and abuser. One netizen stated, “Shame on @ColorsTV for giving platform to women abusers, being a single mother of a child is very difficult, one side I'm feeling bad for Daljit another side I'm happy for #PriyankaChaharChoudhary for representing all the strong women.” Another user said, “Heart breaking to see this video, i don't know who's wrong but holding the child with such a pain and no mother should go through this phase.” A netizen added, “The constant support to criminals.” A netizen went on to say, “that guy deserves to be in jail instead he's getting a grand entrance to bb.” Another netizen went on to add, “The way that wife beater deserves to stay lesser in the bb house than Daljiet did, but he's going to stay long I just know that.” This was in reference to Daljeet Kaur’s short stint on Bigg Boss 13.
