Dheeraj Dhoopar opens up about Sherdil Shergill; will make an announcement about his film debut soon

It was heartbreaking for many fans when television heartthrob Dheeraj Dhoopar announced that he has quit Kundali Bhagya, the popular series which featured him as Karan Luthra . In the last 5 years, not just his performance but also his on-screen chemistry with co-star Shraddha Arya made him a household name. Many wondered if the actor, who is expecting his first child with wife Vinny Arora , was taking a paternity break. But the air was cleared when his picture with Naagin 5 actress Surbhi Chandna went viral on the internet.

Rumors suggested that after their brief collaboration in Naagin 5, the two actors were reuniting on-screen for a unique new show titled Sherdil Shergill. Well, in a chat with Pinkvilla, Dheeraj has now clarified that he got a call for this romantic comedy after he was done with Kundali Bhagya. He shared, “I loved the concept and things got into place. Yes, I'm on board now and doing this show. I believe everything happened for a reason and at the right time. I left that show and got this show, it almost happened at the same time.”

During his many other interviews, Dheeraj had stated that after saas-bahu serials, he would love to participate in a reality show such as Jhalak Dikhla Jaa or Rohit Shetty ’s Khatron Ke Khiladi . But what about movies? Well, the actor has big plans. He shared, “Yes, talks are on for a Punjabi film and a few Hindi films as well. I will not hide anything, and I hope I get to make an announcement super soon.”
