'Main yeh dekh hi nahi sakti' : Ankita Lokhande recalls not able to go for ex-beau Sushant Singh Rajput's funeral

Ankita Lokhande who is currently seen on Bigg Boss 17 as a contestant opened up about some heartbreaking details surrounding the demise of her ex-boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The duo had started dating while working together on the hit TV show Pavitra Rishta but broke up in the year 2016 after being together for almost 7 years. In the latest episode of the reality show, Ankita could be seen revealing how she did not have the courage to even go to Sushant’s funeral.

The actress was seen having a conversation with co-contestant Munawar Faruqui near the pool area. They both also started singing Sushant’s song ‘Kaun Tujhe’ from MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. According to a news report in News18, Ankita was quoted to say, “Bohot acha insaan tha voh. He was a good man. Main aise bolti hu na kabhi, THA, muje itna ajeeb lagta hai. Matlab abhi toh thik hai normal ho gaya hai. Vicky ka bhi dost hai na Sushant toh you know abb voh nahi rha iss duniya is the most worst feeling (And when I use the word ‘was’, I feel so strange. I mean, now it’s okay, it’s normal. Sushant was Vicky’s friend also and when I realise that he is no more, that is the worst feeling).”

Munawar was seen enquiring about Sushant’s demise with Ankita wherein he said, “Logo ke version hai sabke. Alag alag but you are one of them jisko exactly pata hai (People have different versions but you are the one who knows what exactly happened).” The Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi actress agreed to the same and recalled, “Mei toh uske funeral pe bhi nahi gayi thi. Mei jaa hi nahi paayi. Muje laga mei nahi dekh sakti yeh. Mei yeh dekh hi nahi sakti (I did not even go to the funeral. I couldn’t go. I thought I wouldn’t be able to see this).”

She said how her now-husband and Bigg Boss 17 co-contestant Vicky Jain had asked her to go to the Kedarnath actor’s funeral but she had refused since she had never experienced something like this in her life. Ankita then said how she lost her father after this and broke down remembering the same. She said, “Maine first time mere papa ko dekha Munna aise. Meko pata chala ki kisika jaana kya hota hai. Mere papa bohott… miss you daddy (gets emotional). Mei papa ko bar bar bolti thi, papa Bigg Boss.. (breaks down in tears) Hit karti hai yaar chize bas (I saw my father for the first time in that condition. I then realised what it means to lose someone. I used to tell my father about Bigg Boss. These all things hit you).” The Baaghi 3 actress lost her father in August this year.
