Satish Kaushik hilariously recalls how Anil Kapoor once left Sonali Bendre shocked by calling out her poor performance in a shot

Satish Kaushik and Anil Kapoor are having a reunion of sorts with the movie Thar. The close friends who graced the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show recently and shared many funny stories of working together in the ‘90s.

Satish Kaushik shared on the show how he made a pact with Anil Kapoor that best friends shouldn’t shoot a film together abroad.

‘Humne ek baar decide kiya tha life mein ki kabhi best friends hoon na, abroad shooting na karein America mein ya kahin. Kya hai na, Maerica ke pressure bohot hote hain,” he said.

Sharing an instance from the shooting of a song for the film Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai in Calgary, Canada, Satish who directed the film recalled his interactions with Anil during a take. “Wahan par inkaa aur Sonali Bendre ka gana ho raha tha. Main door khada, cameraman aur main, and we were using a zoom lens. Ab Anil aur mera relation aisa hai ki, kya acha ho raha hai aur kya nahi, uska decision Anil bhi le sakta hai. Par bhi kya ho raha hain ki pressure jo hai na bahar ka, ki dollars mein pais karcha ho raha hai.”

Satish revealed how a shouting match between him and Anil began when as a director he was okay with a shot of him and Sonali but Anil kept shouting back saying the shot was not okay.

After a beat, Satish complimented Anil for the shot and shouted, “Anil bada acha kiya tune,” trying to get him to move on. However, it was Anil’s response that takes the cake as he reverted shouting, “Oho main toh acha karta hi hoon, main acha hoon. Issne acha nahi kiya,” the actor had said pointing to Sonali Bendre who was left shocked.

Anil Kapoor and Satish Kaushik are co-stars in the upcoming Netflix film Thar. The film releases on May 6 on the digital platform.
