Currently, Kapil Sharma along with his team namely Krushna Abhishek, Sumona Chakravarti, and Kiku Sharda will be embarking on a tour in Canada and USA. While the show is on a break from television, the latest speculations suggest that it might not make a comeback on TV. However, the fans do not need to fret as the recent development hints that the show will instead go down the OTT route.

    According to a news report in BollywoodLife, The Kapil Sharma Show might stream on an OTT platform. The report further added that Kapil Sharma is keen on exploring the digital space when it comes to the comedy genre. As a result, the fans might not see the popular show return to their TV screens. However, there has not been any official confirmation regarding the same from the comedian.

    The report went on to state that Kapil Sharma wishes to explore the OTT space extensively and not just restrict himself to just one show. Furthermore, the report said that The Kapil Sharma Show will instead return to Sony’s OTT platform since the comedian also has a good relationship with the channel. Apart from this, there have been speculations that Kapil might even bring out a new show in the OTT space.

    The Kapil Sharma Show enjoys massive popularity and sees some of the biggest stars from the showbiz and personalities from all fields grace the same. However, the show has also seen its own fair share of controversies. Kapil Sharma was allegedly accused of not calling the cast of The Kashmir Files on the show but later the lead actor of the film, Anupam Kher clarified that it was a voluntary decision of the team to skip the promotions on the show. The upcoming episode will see Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar grace the show to promote their movie Prithviraj.
