Trisha Krishnan Walks Out Of Saamy 2

Leading Kollywood actor Trisha Krishnan has quit Saamy 2. The actor tweeted on Monday: “Due to creative differences, I have chosen to opt out of Saamy 2. Wishing the team goodluck.” Saamy 2 is the sequel of the highly successful Saamy (2003), which featured Vikram as a hot-headed, foul-mouthed and uptight cop Aarusaamy.

Trisha played his wife and the film was directed by director Hari. In fact, when the project was announced earlier this year, there was considerable excitement as the sequel was bringing together all the three, actors and director of the original team, after a long gap. Vikram and Hari were working with each other after almost a decade.

The sequel also stars current box office favourite Keerthy Suresh as the other female lead while Bobby Simhaa will play the antagonist in the film.

Vikram has two other big films in his kitty -- the highly anticipated spy thriller Dhruva Natchathiram with Gautham Menon and Vijay Chander’s Sketch.

According to reliable sources from the film’s unit, Hari’s film is expected to be shot across places such as Delhi, Noida, Agra, Jaipur, Nainital and Kathmandu among other places. The supporting cast includes Prabhu, Delhi Ganesh and Soori. Harris Jayaraj will compose the music of the film.

According to Pinkvilla, the shooting has commenced and a small action sequence, featuring Keerthy Suresh and Vikram, was canned in Chennai recently.
