Siddharth40 announced; here's why the Chithha actor is excited

Following the success of Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maaveeran, the makers of the film have announced their second production venture. This time, it will star Siddharth. Directed by Sri Ganesh, who had helmed 8 Thottakkal, the upcoming film, which has been tentatively titled Siddharth40, is going to be produced by Arun Viswa of Shanthi Talkies.

The makers shared the new announcement in a statement on social media that read, “After receiving enormous love and support for our debut film, Maaveeran/Mahaveerudu, we at Shanthi Talkies are energised to begin our next cinematic journey. We are elated to announce our Production No: 2 with the multifaceted actor Mr. Siddharth, who constantly pushes his limits in exploring different genres.” 

The makers also added that the story of Siddharth 40 will have a ‘universal appeal’ and will resonate with audiences across borders.

Sidddharth shares his excitement over the new project

Leading man Siddharth revealed that he is excited to work with young talents of the industry. “I am happy to be working with the young and promising minds of our industry, who have a compelling vision to deliver promising content that caters to the tastes of universal audiences,” the actor said. 

The Chithha actor also revealed that he wants to be part of films with a "neat impact". “ I listened to several scripts, and the one narrated by Sri Ganesh excited me. A producer’s delight is always about making movies that leave a neat impact on the audience. I felt those vibes with Arun Viswa, whose sheer vision to create interesting movies amazed me,” he said.

Director Sri Ganesh revealed that he wanted to work with an actor who could be young and mature. “When I started working on the script, I wanted an actor who could exhibit youth and maturity. So, it was Siddarth who came to mind. When I met him for the narration, he was completely engaged and even gave some suggestions, which was admirable,” the director revealed. 

Additionally, producer Arun said that the film will appeal to people of all age groups. 

Siddharth40 is scheduled to begin rolling in June 2024.
