The Yash starrer action magnum opus KGF : Chapter 2 is not leaving any stone unturned to rule the roost in all its glory. The movie has gone on to cross the Rs 750 crore mark globally in its first week itself. Now on its 10th day, the superstar’s character Rocky Bhai from the movie has been declared a ‘box office monster’ for still creating a raging storm with its collection.
The movie has now amassed Rs 18.35 crore (21.53 gross) on its 10th day. The total collections now amount to Rs 298.44 crore (352.16 gross). Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to his social media handle to share a tweet that said, “Indian Box Office is under the control of Box Office Monster #RockyBhai for the 2nd weekend in a row. #KGF2InCinemas is rocking everywhere.” He also shared a montage poster of Yash’s character in the movie.
The montage said, “Box Office Monster.” The way, KGF: Chapter 2 is still reigning at the box office, it can be safely said that it indeed deserves this title. Take a look at the tweet.
KGF: Chapter 2 had crossed Rs 50 crore on its opening day. On the second and third day, it had gone on to collect approximately Rs100 crore and Rs 115 crore respectively. While on the fourth and fifth days, the movie managed to collect overall Rs 350 crore. And around a whopping Rs 600 crore towards the end of the first week. Currently, the movie has surpassed the Rs 750 crore mark worldwide.
An earlier news report in Box Office India had stated, "The 250 crore net number gives KGF 2 and average of around 35 crore net per day which is crazy as a 35 crore net opening day itself is a huge task and only eight films have managed this and one of them is KGF 2 itself. The extended holiday weekend is also a plus because if it was a normal seven-day week with a holiday on day one then the numbers of Bahubali - The Conclusion would have been tougher to reach."
