Just a few films old, Alia Bhatt sang a portion of the song Sooha Saaha with Zeb in her film Highway. Newbie Shraddha Kapoor sang the hit number ‘Galliyan’ in her recently released action-thriller flick Ek Villain. And nowAlia is back with an unplugged version of ‘Samjhawan’ which was originally sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. So are these actresses trying to give tough competition to each other?

Well, Alia says that she is not at all disturbed about her comparison with her contemporary Shraddha Kapoor. "I always knew there would be comparisons. Karan (Johar) and I infact discussed it too. I told him that I don't care because I am not comparing in my head. So let people compare because it is something to be talked about. Two contemporaries singing back-to-back unplugged versions of two hit romantic songs are bound to draw comparisons," the actress said.

Talking about Shraddha Kapoor's hit number from Ek Villain, Alia said, "I have heard the song and I loved it. It is a beautiful song. The original and her version both have a completely different soul to it. I think she has sung it brilliantly." A few days back, the talented actress was quoted saying "If I get an opportunity, I would love to sing. I really enjoy singing. But I would like to take singing forward. I wouldn't want to restrict myself to singing for films alone; I want to cut an album of my own one day."  The actress has sung ‘Mai tennu Samjhawan’ for Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, which released today.
