Deepika Padukone was the only outsider at a cast-only screening of Dil Dhadakne Do

On Thursday (May 28), a special screening was organised for the cast of director Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film. However, even though the screening was only for people who have worked on the film, a special provision was made for Deepika Padukone, who attended the event with her alleged beau Ranveer Singh.

An insider reveals, “Ranveer wanted to invite Deepika for the screening, as he wanted her to watch the film before it releases. Since none of the cast members were shown the film prior to this, Ranveer thought it would be apt for him to invite Deepika for the very first screening.” Apparently, Ranveer consulted Zoya before inviting Deepika. “Zoya had

not shown the film to anyone before this screening. Ranveer felt it was important to consult Zoya before inviting Deepika, as she has been very particular about who sees the film before the release. However, when Ranveer asked her, she readily agreed,” adds the insider. The screening was also attended by other cast members, including Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma, among others. Interestingly, after the screening, the team was joined by Aamir Khan.

The insider says, “After the screening, everyone decided to hang out at the venue. Most of them were seen sharing their opinions about the movie. The conversations went on till the wee hours, and Aamir joined them too. They all left the venue around 3 am.”
