Finding Fanny opens to a good response, Creature 3D a debacle

Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny opened to a good occupancy across the country today. The morning shows indicated that the pre release buzz around the movie was worth as the audiences came in good numbers. However the appeal of the movie would restrict mainly at urban centres in multiplexes considering it is made largely in English.

Finding Fanny’s cast is quite impressive but the overall package is extremely restricted. The early trends show that evening and night shows on the opening day will see increased numbers. The film has generated mostly positive reviews which may add to its luck if the word of mouth spreads but a lot would depend on its weekend performance. Produced by Maddock and Illiminati films, Finding Fanny is not made on a very huge budget. The film has released with some 900 prints and therefore the collections would principally come out from multiplexes.

On the other hand, Bipasha Basu starrer Creature 3D opened to an extremely poor response with even bad reviews. It’s going to be tough for it to survive if the audience come out being disappointed.
