Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela faces protests at Aligarh theatre

A group of headstrong protesters managed to breach the beefed up police security during the screening of Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela and enter one of the theatres here which was screening the Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer. They vandalised the movie-hall and set the furniture on fire.

It has been alleged by the Meenakshi cinema hall authorities that some people forcefully instigated vandalism and a number of seats were set ablaze last evening. According to local police, security in the theatre and throughout the area has been strengthened after the incident. Negligence on the part of police was strictly condemned by the common public. Earlier on Sunday a group of activists disrupted Ram-Leela screenings at the theatres in the town. An FIR was also lodged against 150 anonymous miscreants but nobody has been arrested yet.
