Irrfan Khan signed Jazbaa as ‘Aishwarya is there’

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is making a comeback on the big screen after five years and the lucky co-star who gets to work along with her is Irrfan Khan. The Paan Singh Tomar star while in an interview with PTI named Aishwarya as one of the reasons why he signed Jazbaa. The actor said, “I chose Jazbaa because it was a whole package. Aishwarya is there and it is a new kind of thriller in a very popular genre”.

Irrfan and Aishwarya are going to be paired opposite each other for the first time in the Sanjay Gupta directorial. The Piku star seems to be quite impressed with the Miss World. “Ash is a discovery for me. Whatever I knew about her was through the media. She is much more than the perception created about her by the media. She is much more humane, down to earth, caring and eager to explore her side to an actor. It would be a delight for any director to cast her and give her some challenge, where she feels, 'Let me do something new, let me do a character'. She is ready to do that”, The Lunchbox star said.

Jazbaa is expected to release in October this year. The first look of the movie will be unveiled at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival by the Bollywood diva. The movie also stars Anupam Kher and Shabana Azmi.
