Since last few days a tussle was going between two A-listed actresses of B-town, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. And finally the verdict has come in favour of Kareena, to be paired opposite Hrithik Roshan for Karan Johar-Karan Malhotra’s next venture Shuddhi. And the onscreen couple will be seen together after 10 long years following Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.
The film will be shot mostly in the holy city of Rishikesh. Hrithik is said to be flying to the locale for the shooting very soon. “Karan (Malhotra)’s wife Ekta has worked hard on the script. It’s going to be an engrossing and challenging film for everyone who is involved with it. Hrithik will start work on it immediately after wrapping up Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang. If all goes according to plan, he might also travel to Rishikesh to shoot a portion of the movie,” a source confirmed. The producer KJo also confirmed that Rishikesh is going to play an important part in the movie.
He also made it clear that Shuddhi has nothing to do with Amish Tripathi’s The Immortals of Meluha. He also added that the novel’s adaptation will be made separately and it will be a completely different film. The film,Shuddhi, which will be directed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath fame, is slated to begin its shooting from November 2013.
