Shahid excited about Magadheera remake

ctor Shahid Kapoor has reportedly been roped in to portray the lead role in the Bollywood remake of South blockbuster Magadheera. The talented actor seems to be enthralled about the ‘big’ venture. He is apparently spellbound with stories of sword-wielding warriors on horses, who fight to save princesses.

Written by K.V. Vijayendra Prasad and directed by S.S. Rajamouli, Telugu historical fiction film Magadheera was based on the theme of reincarnation. The film featured Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles with Dev Gill and Srihari in supporting roles. With remarkable visual effects and melodious music, it received overwhelming response from the audiences and remained the highest-grossing Telugu film of all time for five years.
