Vidhu Vinod chopra on Wazir: ‘We’ve spent five years to create the characters of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar’

Bejoy Nambiar’s directorial Wazir, is the most talked about upcoming film in the industry. The co-producer of the film Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently revealed that it took 5 years for the writing team to develop the characters played by Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. Besides, these two actors, the film also star Aditi Rao Hydari with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh in cameo roles.

Besides producing the film, Vidhu Vinod Chopra was on board as one of the writers. He revealed, “We’ve spent five years to create the characters of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. I`m extremely grateful to them for bringing these characters to life”.

Talking of the time-consuming writing sessions, Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, “It takes us 4-5 years to write our scripts if you see our films. And that is the reason; our films are of a certain level. We are not a studio and we don`t have to pay salaries to 400 people. We are not in any hurry. We are bit lazy too. Right from `Parinda` to `PK`, all have taken time to write, as we only back those projects we believe in”.
