    Gerard Butler quits ‘Point Break’ remake

    Point Break, a remake of 1990s action movie of same name, is into the making and Gerard Butler, who was supposed to essay the character of a thief named Zen, has left the project. The actor has mentioned creative and scheduling differences as the reason for such decision. Zen was originally played by Patrick Swayze.

    Actually, Gerard is linked to one more project titled ‘London Has Fallen’, a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and the shooting of the same will take place in London. However, ‘Point Break’ remake will be shot at international locales. Butler will not be able to do justice to both the projects and because of the prior commitments, he choose Olympus Has Fallen over Point Break. Luke Bracey is already onboard to play the female lead FBI agent Johnny Utah. Ericson Core is handling direction, whereas Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove are producing it. John Baldecchi,Chris Taylor and Wimmer are also managing production along with them. Scripting work has been handed to Kurt Wimmer.
