    What a turn of events it has been for cricketer Riyan Parag! From going viral due to his good form while playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, he has now made it to the headlines, but for something not related to cricket. 

    On Tuesday after accidentally revealing his YouTube search history. screenshots of the same have since gone viral where social media users were quick to notice two entries involving Bollywood actors: "Ananya Panday hot" and "Sara Ali Khan hot". Apart from being a full-time cricketer, Riyan Parag is also a part-time gamer and regularly streams his activities on social media and has over 65,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.

    While many found it funny and started trolling and making fun of the 22-year-old cricketer, several sections of the internet expressed severe displeasure stating that he should be 'ashamed' of himself. Here are some of the posts about Parag's YouTube search history that have been circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter).

    Regarding his performance in the IPL 2024, the batter from Guwahati became the first player to score over 550 runs at number four in a single season. Although there were doubts about his position in RR for IPL 2024, he was promoted to number four and retained the spot throughout the season under the leadership of Sanju Samson.

    This decision paid off as Parag emerged as the top run-scorer for RR in IPL 2024, amassing 567 runs in 13 innings at an average of 56.70 and a strike rate of 151.60.

    With this, he also made history by becoming the player with the most runs in a single season while batting at number four for RR. He surpassed Rishabh Pant's 2018 record of 547 runs at the position.

    In fact, his performance has garnered so much attention that many fans wanted him to be part of the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 all set to take place in the West Indies and the USA.
