    Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-lee Jackman have decided to part ways. Despite their separation, the couple remains committed to approaching their new chapter with a sense of appreciation, affection, and compassion towards each other.

    After nearly three decades of marriage actor Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-lee have separated. The Australian duo, parents to Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, have celebrated 27 years of marriage.

    In a joint statement, the former couple shared the news stating that they had a wonderful life together but now it's time for them to pursue individual growth.

    A Glimpse into the Journey of the Australian Power Couple

    The couple first met on the sets of the Australian TV show Correlli in 1995 and were married a year later on 11 April 1996.

    Deborra was already a well-established star and Hugh Jackman was just starting his career after having graduated from drama school.

    The couple adopted their first son Oscar in 2000 and their second daughter Ava in 2005.

    End of an Era

    According to the statement in People, the couple said their "family has been and always will be our highest priority". "We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. 

    We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives." 

    The couple signs off by saying "This is the sole statement either of us will make".

    The couple's last public appearance together was in July of this year at the Wimbledon tennis champions in London where they were seen watching the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.

    Many fans were saddened by the news but supported the couple's decision to move on to the next chapter in their lives.
