    Set to shine in Netflix's forthcoming limited series Griselda, the 51-year-old Modern Family star, Sofía Vergara, takes on the formidable role of Griselda Blanco, a lethal queenpin reigning over the Miami drug scene in the six-episode drama.

    In this riveting portrayal, Vergara showcases her prowess as a savvy Colombian drug cartel leader, steering clear of any challenges to her authority. The series, crafted by Eric Newman, the mastermind behind Narcos and Narcos: Mexico, is skillfully directed by Andrés Baiz. Not only does Vergara grace the screen as the lead, but she also assumes the role of an executive producer.

    Netflix's recently unveiled trailer for the upcoming show, scheduled to premiere on January 25, provides a comprehensive glimpse into the life of the Colombian drug cartel leader widely recognized as "the Godmother."The trailer kicks off with a gripping courtroom scene, where a woman asserts that "Griselda Blanco has owned Miami distributing cocaine" over the past three years. 

    As the on-screen text reminds viewers of the series' inspiration from real events, Griselda defiantly declares, "There are a lot of women who leave the man but not the wife. I swear I know what I'm doing." The trailer then transitions to a scene featuring Griselda addressing a group of men and women outside a motel.
