After Dipika Chikhlia, Laxman aka Sunil Lahri shares his views on Adipurush teaser; ‘effort hi nahi karna chahte’

The much awaited teaser of Om Raut ’s upcoming film Adipurush was launched at a grand event in Ayodhya last week. While fans couldn’t stop gushing over Prabhas and Kriti Sanon ’s off-screen chemistry, they weren’t exactly impressed by the glimpse that they got into their project. Many netizens were disappointed and claimed that they would rather re-watch Ramanand Sagar ’s Ramayan . On top of this, actress Dipika Chikhlia who portrayed the role of Sita in the iconic show felt that Saif Ali Khan’s character Lankesh aka Ravana looked Mughal instead of Sri Lankan.

Well, Ramanand Sagar’s Laxman aka Sunil Lahri has now reacted to the teaser. He admitted that the VFX was hard to digest but added that his views are currently neutral as we have just been introduced to the characters. Sunil explained, “So till now, they haven't conveyed anything that really irked me. I think ki zabadasti ki controversy create ki ja rahi hai... to popularise the film.” He did feel weird after seeing the characters but understands that the makers of Adipurush have tried to break the conventional image of Ravana.

He further shared that if they had access to such technology back in the 80s, then Ramanand Sagar would have made something different and maybe even better. But the visual feat that he achieved will be difficult to repeat. Sunil explained, “Phele sab manual kaam hota tha, aaj sab presets hai and they stick to that. Woh effort hi nahi karna chahte. Even though we used to in green screen and blue screen, we used to look after each and every detail, and we put in the same amount of hard work.”

Starring Prabhas as Raghava and Kriti as Janaki, Adipurush is all set to arrive in theatres on 12th January next year. What are your expectations from the film?
