Starring Chhaya Kadam, Divya Prabha and Kani Kusruti, the film revolves around a nurse and her roommate in Mumbai. Now, celebrities from Bollywood are showering love and praise on the team of All We Imagine as Light through heartfelt posts on their social media handles.     Bollywood reacts to All We Imagine as Light winning the Grand Prix

    Bollywood actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar shared the poster of the film and wrote, “Heartiest congratulations #PayalKapadia and team #allweimagineaslight .. first Indian film to win the Cannes Grand Prix.”  Actress Tillotama Shome posted a black-and-white picture of a glass jar with the names of the Indian films that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival - All We Imagine as Light, Shameless, Santosh Sister Midnight. The actress spoke about the struggles the cast and crew of the film went through to make the film and attend its premiere at Cannes. A part of her post read, “It is nothing short of a miracle for an Indian indie film with no institutional, financial or emotional support from the country, to make it this big. How were the films funded, how difficult was it to complete the film in that budget, oh and how did the actors put together the money to fly to Cannes, so they could bring home the prize, that we are so proud of?”

    Actress Radhika Apte shared a picture of the cast receiving the Grand Prix award on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Huge congratulations to the beautiful and incredible people behind this film!! This is just PERFECT.”

    Actress Aditi Rao Hydari shared a poster image of the film and captioned it, “At a very perplexing time in history where only the noise from my incredible county seems to get amplified, here is an independent film by a first time director that wins the Grand Prix honour at @festivaldecannes. Please take a moment and let us all stand and applaud this monumental achievement. This is the crowning glory of the fight for good Cinema in India. It may happen again, but not without the impact of #Payalkapadia’s spectacular achievement!”

    While congratulating the team, actress and singer Saba Azad made an appeal to ‘Fund good cinema!!’ She wrote on social media, “Support independent filmmakers, support actors who give themselves wholly to the craft and aren't just in it for the frills- put your money behind talent!! And real talent may not mean the most famous or most familiar!! There is a kind of Indian cinema that deserves our attention and support, and it's shining the world over!! Let's give it the respect it deserves, back home too.”

    Actress Richa Chadha took to X and congratulated Payal Kapadia, Ranabir Das, Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Hridhu Haroon, Chhaya Kadam and the whole team of All We Imagine as Light. Terming their victory at Cannes as ‘historic’, the actress said that she was ‘just overjoyed!’. In her post, she said, “Independent filmmaking at any point of time is hard, but now is actively scuttled, and then to win a GRAND PRIX! Ooof. Just thrilled.”
