Amitabh Bachchan suffers muscle tear in his rib during Project K shoot, fans want him to retire now

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has seen quite of few injuries during his illustrious Bollywood career. From sustaining a fatal accident in 1982 to having several medical issues, the 80-year-old actor still continues to entertain the audience. Recently, he suffered a major injury in his right rib cage during the shoot of his upcoming film, Project K . As the news broke, his concerned fans wished for his speedy recovery and want him to retire now.

Taking to his blog on Tumbler, Big B wrote, "In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured - rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage, canceled shoot, did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home. Strapping has been done and rest been advocated. Yes painful. On movement and breathing, will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur. Some medication is on also for pain."

Further, he informed fans not to gather outside his home Jalsa as part of the Sunday ritual as he would not be able to meet them. "So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs," Amitabh Bachchan continued, "I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities, but yes in rest and generally lying around,” he added.

Reacting to the news, one of the fans wrote, “He should retire now”. Another fan stated, “Puri zindagi to kaam kiya ab retirement life enjoy karna chahiye uncle ko.” “Wish you speedy recovery , he should retired now and take care of health , enjoy your old age why working so hard at this age,” suggested another fan. “Itne old hogye ho.. itna paisa kya karna hai ghar pr retired life enjoy karo,” added another.

Meanwhile, Amitabh is currently recovering at Jalsa after receiving medical care in Hyderabad. His upcoming film Project K is being directed by Nag Ashwin and also stars Deepika Padukone and Prabhas in the lead roles. Besides it, the megastar also has Ganapath : Part 1, The Intern Remake, and Section 84 in the pipeline.
