    The country woke up to a shocking news today-- popular comedian Raju Srivastava bid the world a final adieu at the age of 58. Last month on 10th August he was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital in New Delhi after he collapsed at the gym while working out, due to a heart attack. A few days after he was admitted, his daughter Antara had shared that Raju was on ventilator but he was stable. However, today morning he breathed his last.

    Not just his millions of fans but people all across the country are heartbroken on learning about his untimely demise. Several celebrities have also taken to their official social media handles to pay a heartfelt tribute to Raju, the man who won hearts with his natural flair for comedy. While Anil Kapoor shared a picture of him and Raju with the words ‘Om Shanti’, actress Malaika Arora wrote: “Raju Srivastava: 1963-2022. Thank you for the laughs. RIP.” Actress Nimrat Kaur, on the other hand, tweeted: “Deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Late Raju Srivastava ji. May God bless his journey into the light #RIPRajuSrivastava.”

    Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari fondly remembered Raju in his tweet. He shared, “Anguished to hear about the demise of Comedy Legend Raju Srivastav Ji. An Entertainer par Excellence, his mannerisms & observational comedy truly mirrored the daily life of us Indians. My condolences to his family members. Om Shanti.”

    In his career of 34 long years, Raju not only won hearts with his unique sense of comedy and impeccable timing, but also worked in films like Baazigar, Maine Pyaar Kiya and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon. He may have left us but will continue to live on in our hearts.
