Anupam Kher gives a shout-out to ex-student Deepika Padukone for being one of the presenters at Oscars 2023

It is no secret that Anupam Kher has mentored several actors in his acting academy. And Deepika Padukone is one among his batch of students who have carved a niche in the film industry. As the actress was recently selected as one of the presenters at the 95th Academy Awards, Anupam expressed pride in being part of her journey.

Taking to his Instagram handle, he shared a throwback picture of Deepika clicked at his acting school. In the photo, the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani actress looked pretty in a white T-shirt as she smiled at the camera. “Dearest @deepikapadukone! Congratulations on being one of the presenters at this year’s #Oscar ceremony! For the unversed, Deepika’s name is added to the list of presenters at Oscars 2023 which also includes Dawayne Johnson, Emily Brunt, and Samuel L Jackson among others. The prestigious award show is scheduled to be held on March 12 In Los Angeles. Also, this year, the Naatu Naatu song from SS Rajamouli’s RRR is nominated in the Best Song category. While two Indian documentaries – The Elephant Whisperers and All That Breathes have been nominated for Best Documentary Short and Best Documentary Feature categories respectively.

Meanwhile, Anupam was last seen in Shiv Shastri Balboa alongside Neena Gupta. Up next, he has Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, The Vaccine War, and Metro In Dino in the pipeline. On the other hand, Deepika is basking in the success of Pathaan which grossed more than Rs 1000 crores worldwide.
