    Presently the talk of the town with his film An Action Hero , Ayushmann Khurrana who is has carved a name for himself for doing things differently, admitted in a recent interview that the success of his first film Vicky Donor did get to his head. Ayushmann stated that he has after ten years of working become immune to success and failure but at the very beginning, he did get arrogant after he won Roadies season 2 and followed it up with a successful Bollywood debut.

    Ayushmann Khurrana and his approach towards cinema has certainly has made the industry and his peers think long and hard about unconventional scripts and how to make them successful. Starting with a film like Vicky Donor, which was clutter breaking endeavour by Shoojit Sircar, Ayushmann said while speaking to Siddharth Kannan that it did make him feel like he had arrived.

    Asked if success ever went to his head, Ayushmann said, “Hua hai pehli film ke baad hua hai. In fact, jab pehla reality show jeeta tha tab bhi hua hai. So I have gone through that journey very early in my life. Toh thodi immunity ho gayi hai ab.”

    Talking about his attitude change after Vicky Donor, Ayushmann said that he definitely felt like he had arrived but his arrogance was only directed towards his friends and family but never came out on the professional front. However, the actor did face a lull after his smashing debut and added that the period was important for him since it helped him become grounded.

    “Ek chote sheher se Mumbai aayein aur jo socha ho woh ho jaye, use zayada ho jaaye, soch se upar kuch mil jaye toh kisi ka bhi dimaag kharab ho sakta hai. Aur woh tab hua jab after my first film I was not getting work. Vicky Donor ka ek benchmark tha, waisi scripts mujhe mil nahi rahi thi. Industry ko pata nahi tha iska karein kya, kahan fit hota hai ye, waisi filmein chal bhi nahi rahi thi, Vicky Donor was an anomaly. Then it started post Dum Laga Ke Haisha, that was good three years after Vicky Donor. Woh teen saal mujhe ground karne mein bohot zaroori they,” Ayushmann explained.

    An Action hero is Ayushmann’s third release of the year after Anek and Doctor G and has opened to positive reviews on Friday.
