Today (January 3, 2023) marks Ira Khan’s big day as she is all set to get married to her fiance Nupur Shikhare at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai. Hours before the wedding ceremony, Aamir Khan’s daughter was seen arriving at salon in a simple grey t-shirt and short skirt. She tied her hair back in a bun and wore a bright pink ’bride-to-be’ headgear. The netizens dropped mixed reactions as soon as the video surfaced online.

While a section of social media users were surprised to see bride-to-be in a casual avatar, others slammed her for her skimpy outfit. “Isko pata bhi hai ki iski shadi hai ??? Really sorry for the perfectionist.. bhai biwi bache sab ab normal mile bechare ko,” a user said. “Iski shaadi me sab me competition chal rha worst dressup ka,” said the second user. “Aree ye bride h ....?” questioned the third user. “She's looking so little shaddi kaise itni jaldi”, “Ye baspan ka dress ab tak pehan rhi h kya ..” and “Bachelor party wala band utarna bhool gayi” were some of the other comments below the paparazzi video. Earlier in the day, Ira took to her Instagram stories to share a selfie and announced that she is going to flaunt the ‘bride-to-be’ tag all day long. Meanwhile, Ira and Nupur kickstarted their pre-wedding festivities with the kelvan ceremony in presence of both of their families. While Ira wore a saree with a Peshwai nath, Nupur opted for a traditional look for the occasion. Around the New Year's weekend, the couple’s Haldi ceremony took place, which was followed by Mehendi ceremony at Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai. Aamir Khan, his son Junaid Khan, his ex-wife Kiran Rao and her son Azad Rao attended the ceremony.

It is reported that couple will register their marriage today, which will be followed by a close-knit ceremony with only family and close friends in attendance. Ira is reported to wear a lehenga, while Nupur will don a tuxedo for the ceremony. The 'baraat' is expected to arrive at the hotel at around 6.30 pm. The couple has also planned an extravagant reception in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where Bollywood film stars are expected to be in attendance. It is expected to take place on January 13 as per reports.
