'Dhamki mil gayi thi': Sam Bahadur star Vicky Kaushal recalls Katrina Kaif threatening him to cancel the wedding

 Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are the most loved married couple in Bollywood. The talks around their relationship and intimate wedding keep fans on their knees. As Vicky is out and about for his Sam Bahadur’s promotions, the actor recalled the time when his marriage date and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke shooting collided. He revealed that Katrina Kaif threatened and pushed him to stay longer with her after the wedding. The duo tied the knot in December 2021.

“I have done half of the film’s shooting before my marriage and then I took off for my marriage. Right after the marriage, within two days, they were calling me on the set. Toh fir mujh dhamki mil gayi thi ki tumhe do din baad set pe hi jana hai toh shaadi rehne hi do (Then I got the threat that if you have to go to the set in two days then don’t get married). Then I said ‘no’ and I went to the sets of the film after five days,” he told Pinkvilla.

Further, Vicky also revealed about his life post-marriage. “It really is a blessing to find that companion for yourself where you truly feel like you've come back home. I don't know how to describe it in words, but it's a very sukoon wala feeling. (It’s a very peaceful feeling). It's nice. It's your grounding, it's your axis. You know that this is your ground zero,” he added.

Vicky is currently on the promotional spree for his upcoming film, Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar. He plays the role of India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Besides him, the film also has Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles. On the other hand, Katrina was recently seen in Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3. She will next be seen in Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi.
