Dhanush's father says he and Aishwaryaa aren't heading for a divorce: 'It's a family quarrel'

Right at the beginning of the week, the news that created a stir is that of actor Dhanush and wife Aishwarya's separation.Both had put out a joint statement on social media. Fans were heartbroken to learn that the couple would be parting ways 18 years after their marriage. However, Dhanush's father, Kasthuri Raja has dismissed rumours of their divorce and called it a 'family quarrel'.

Talking to a daily, Kasthuri Raja said, “It is a family quarrel that usually takes place between a married couple.” He added that there will be no divorce and that he has also talked to the couple who are in Hyderabad currently.

Announcing their separation, Dhanush had written on Twitter, “Eighteen years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa tied the knot in 2004. The couple also has two children- Yatra and Linga. Aishwaryaa is the daughter of superstar Rajinikanth . It had also been reported that Rajinikanth wanted to talk to both Dhanush and his daughter regarding this matter, but the Atrangi Re actor avoided the meeting. We can only hope that the couple reconciles and gets back together.
