Disha Patani shares a special message for late Sushant Singh Rajput as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story clocks 7 years

    Actor Disha Patani recalled working on her debut film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story as it clocked seven years on Saturday. The actress's portrayal of a girl-next-door and chemistry with Sushant Singh Rajput in the film earned her wide appreciation. She took to her social media handle and penned a note for her late co-star. For the unversed, Sushant breathed his last in 2020. He was found dead in his Mumbai apartment.

Grateful for all the love and acceptance.” She added, “Sushant I hope you are happy and in peace.”Directed by Neeraj Pandey, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is the biopic of one of the most celebrated cricketers in our country, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Released in 2016, the film saw the late Sushant essaying the role of Dhoni. The film also featured Kiara Advani in pivotal role.

    Disha also expressed that firsts are always special. “Seven years have passed since 'MS Dhoni,' and I feel extremely grateful for everyone who has supported me on this journey.I would like to thank everyone for the love I’ve received for my portrayal of Priyanka, and I appreciate all of you who have never stopped showering me with immense love, especially my butterflies!! And, as they say, 'firsts are always special’, this film will always hold a special place in my heart,” she told Etimes.

    Earlier, Disha grabbed headlines when she gave a shout-out to rumoured ex-boyfriend Tiger Shroff after the Ganapath teaser was released. "Congratulations Tiger Shroff, can't wait for this world,” she wrote. To which Tiger replied, "Yaay, thank you so much D." Ganapath also stars Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan; and is slated to release in theatres on October 20. Meanwhile, workwise, Disha was last seen in Ek Villain Returns. She will next feature in Yodha alongside Sidharth Malhotra.
