In the latest interaction, Hirani revealed that he once told Vicky’s father Sham Kaushal about a special role he would have offered to his son. But he won’t since it is not the lead. After Vicky came to know about it, he called him up and said, “ 'I'm willing to play any role in your film. No one else will do it but me'.” For the unversed, Vicky will be seen in the role of Sukhi, who spent most of his time learning English because he wanted to make his way to England in the upcoming film.

Most recently, Vicky shared his working experience with Shah Rukh on sets of Dunki. During his appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 8 with Kiara Advani, he lauded SRK’s work ethic and his determination towards his shots and films. “That’s him. I met him and I realized how little I am doing at this age. He just gives his 100% in everything. He is just something else. It was like this was his first film, ” Kaushal told host Karan Johar.

Dunki is about a group of friends, who use a backdoor process to move to another country, then struggle to return home. Besides Shah Rukh and Vicky, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, the film is set to arrive in theatres on December 21, 2023.
