Exclusive: Nawazuddin Siddiqui on building his new home, says 'Main Gharwala Type Ka Aadmi Nahi Hoon'

Nawazuddin Siddiqui grabbed several eyeballs after he built a lavish bungalow for himself in Mumbai’s Versova area. The actor’s beautiful residence pictures were quick to go viral on social media. Now, in an exclusive interview with Desimartini, Nawazuddin revealed that it was not a conscious decision to build a home for himself.

Talking about the same, the Sacred Games actor said, “Frankly speaking I never dreamt to make a home for myself. When someone showed me the property, then I took it but I had real fun when I had the opportunity to do all the interiors and the designing all by myself. There was a creative process involved which was a lot of fun. But there was no dream of mine that I want to build a house for myself. Main Gharwala Type Ka Aadmi Nahi Hoon (I'm not a homely person).”

Apart from this, Nawazuddin Siddiqui shelled out some valuable advice for the young actors who tend to face rejections on the basis of their acting skills and looks. Although he refused to speak about his own struggle phase, he wished for the younger generation to not slip into depression while they face rejection. The Kick actor said, “See my struggle phase is quite an old thing now, to be honest. I don't even remember all of these things now because, in exchange for that, the film industry has given me a lot. I don't want to talk about them right now because continuously talking about them will obviously make me unhappy. But whenever people ask me about this continuously, then I tend to talk about it. I don't want people to focus on my struggle. Yes, the craft which I have, to talk about them is much better. I feel I'm not in a position to advise the current generation of actors but on the basis of my experience, I can say to keep honesty and passion. Their hard work will bear fruit today or tomorrow. There will be moments of frustration but one should not slip into a depression.”

On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently being seen in Heropanti 2 as the main antagonist. The actor will also be seen in Tiku Weds Sheru. He further has movies like Noorani Chehra, Afwah, Jogira Sara Ra Ra and Adbhut.
