Exclusive: Nawazuddin Siddiqui on whether he will take up direction in future, says 'Udta Teer Nahi Lena Chahta'

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is touted to be one of the most celebrated actors in the country. He has time and again pushed the bar high with his impeccable portrayal of complex and larger-than-life characters. In a recent interview with Desimartini, we asked him whether he plans to take up direction, writing, or production like his contemporaries in the near future.

To this, the Sacred Games actor was quick to reveal that he has no plans to take up anything else other than acting in the future. Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “No, I've no plans for those things. I'm more than happy with acting. Unecessary Udta Hua Teer Nahi Lena Chahta Hun Main (laughs).”

Apart from this, Nawazuddin Siddiqui also spoke about his upcoming film, Tiku Weds Sheru. The movie marks the debut production venture of Kangana Ranaut . The film will also star Avneet Kaur alongside Nawazuddin. The movie has been helmed by Sai Kabir.

Talking about the movie and his collaboration with Kangana Ranaut, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “It’s a very fun and entertaining movie. I don't know about the release date because it’s still in post-production but yes, it'll be out very soon for you guys. What can I say about Kangana (Ranaut)? She's a wonderful actor and a producer.”

The movie was recently wrapped up in early February this year. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently being seen in the action film Heropanti 2 alongside Tiger Shroff. The actor is playing the main antagonist in the same.

The Serious Men actor furthermore spoke with us about exploring challenging and diverse roles as an actor in his glorious filmography. Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “I have a habit of pressure now. Now I myself don't have fun if I don't do diverse roles. I'm playing the role of a typical hero, doing love stories as the main lead then there's Heropanti 2 so there are a different set of characters with each film. Something is a love story, something is a supernatural thriller, then there's a festival film No Land's Man which is very close to my heart. So, I'm working on different movies right now which is a challenge and also is a lot of fun.”
