Speculations were rife that South sensation Allu Arjun will be making his Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan . The makers of the film had approached the actor for a cameo appearance for a significant part. The latest report suggests that the actor didn’t take up the offer owing to the ongoing shoot schedule of his much-awaited Pushpa: The Rule.

For the unversed, Jawan is the upcoming action drama starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi. Directed by Atlee, the film is slated to hit theatres in June 2023. Earlier, reports were doing rounds suggesting that Allu Arjun has joined the cast. But as per Pinkvilla reports, the source said, "The narration happened with the makers but Allu Arjun couldn't say yes to the film due to his choco block schedule. AA has been training rigorously to get into the skin of his character for Pushpa: The Rule and for the next few months, he is only going to focus on it. Pushpa-2 shoot is underway at a fast pace with two major schedules wrapped in Vizag and Hyderabad."

The source also added that a point came during the discussion when Allu Arjun had to let go of Jawan considering high-rise expectations from Pushpa 2 . "Allu Arjun did take his time to think about Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, where he was offered a small yet impactful role but it’s quite difficult to choose over Pushpa, said the source. Directed by Sukumar, the upcoming second installment of the Pushpa franchise is built on a grand scale. The first part of the film made it big due to its massy storyline and blockbuster songs. The film, which amassed over Rs 350 crore worldwide, also stars Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Raj Tirandasu, and others in key roles.
