Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar song fails to hit the spot | Here's why...

The remixed version of your favourite song, Ishq Vishk, titled Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar, from the film Ishq Vishk Rebound is out. The song features actors Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan and Jibraan Khan shaking a leg on the dance floor. Although the dance number has great dance moves and good-looking actors, it does not come close to the original Ishq Vishk song, which features Shahid Kapoor and Shenaz Tresurywala.

Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar song out now

The makers of Ishq Vishk Rebound took to Instagram to release the first song from the movie, titled Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar. The caption reads, “love at first sight with the title track of #IshqVishkRebound #IshqVishkPyaarVyaar OUT NOW on @Tips YouTube channel. In cinemas on 21st June 2024! #PyaarKaSecondRound.”

The song starts with Rohit and Jibraan’s characters downing shots in a club, after which they are stunned when they see Pashmina walking down the stairs looking like a million bucks in a shimmering gold ensemble. Later, the clip gives a glimpse of Jibraan flaunting his impeccable dance moves on the floor, which is followed by graceful Pashmina, who takes centre stage and captivates you with her expressions. While Jibraan looks dapper in a black pantsuit, Pashmina wears a gold blouse and matching palazzo pants in the song. Amid the peppy lyrics, there is rap by Mellow D in the later parts of the song. Rohit Saraf also shows off his moves, like the other two main leads, but fails to charm you.

With the two male leads competing for the attention of the female lead, and with some similar dance moves, Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar reminds us of ‘The Disco Song’ from Student of the Year.

Although Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar has all the masala that a peppy dance number needs—great dance moves, two guys trying to win over a beautiful woman, and a rap segment—the song is not upto mark and does not come close to the original Ishq Vishk song, which was appreciated for Shahid Kapoor’s dancing abilities and the simplicity of its lyrics. Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar, sadly, is all over the place.

Choreographed by Nipun Ganguly, Ishq Ishk Pyaar Vyaar is sung by Sonu Nigam, Rochak Kohli and Nikita Gandhi, while the additional lyrics are by Gurpreet Saini. Helmed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, Ishq Vishk Rebound, starring Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Naila Grrewal and Jibraan Khan, will hit theatres on June 21.

Backed by Ramesh Taurand and co-produced by Jaya Taurani under Tips Films Limited, Ishq Vishk Rebound is a contemporary take on modern relationships that are influenced by social media, technology and insecurities. It is the sequel to the 2003 Shahid Kapoor film Ishq Vishk, which also starred Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala.
