Being the daughter of filmmaker Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor has received her share of criticism around nepotism. Recently, the actress acknowledged her nepotistic privileges with confidence and said that with opportunities she has also inherited the will to work hard and honestly from her parents Boney Kapoor and late lady superstar Sridevi.

The actress recently attended NBT Utsav 2022 in a white embellished saree and interacted with the media. During her interactions, she gave a befitting reply to trolls who question her potential as a star kid in the film industry. She said, “Agar mauke, expectations, aur pressure virasat mein Miley hain to mehnat aur imaandari se kaam karne ki bhi iccha virasat mein mili hai'(If opportunities are inherited, then the will to work hard and honestly is also inherited). She added that she will keep on working hard and make everyone proud.

Earlier, the GoodLuck Jerry actress addressed the nepotism debate as a ‘never-ending’ topic."We've got a lot very easily so if a few people are saying things like nepotism and she doesn't deserve to be here like you can deal with that I think. It's not like, you're getting to do what you love to do so that debate is never-ending,” she had told Pinkvilla. For those unaware, the actress made her acting debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak in 2018 alongside Ishaan Khatter. The film was backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Since then, she has been part of several projects including Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Roohi, and Ghost Stories among others.

Janhvi was recently seen in Mili, the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film, Helen. She will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal opposite Varun Dhawan. Besides it, she also has Mr and Mrs Mahi co-starring Rajkummar Rao. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma.
