Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal death threat: Here's what we know so far about accused Manvinder Singh

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have received death threats on social media from a struggling actor who is a big fan of the actress. Mumbai police have arrested the man who is identified as Manvinder Singh from Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. As per reports, the man wanted to marry Katrina and used to post edited videos and pictures of himself with the actress on Instagram.

For the last few months, the accused man was constantly troubling Katrina on social media. He has been constantly stalking the actress and threatening her. Following this, Vicky lodged an FIR against him at Santacruz police station. A case was registered under the Indian Penal Code Sections 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking). Following the complaint, there have been concerns over both actors' security as they have been shooting outdoors for their projects. Well, the threat is no longer there as the accused has been nabbed by Mumbai police.

According to Etimes source, the situation is not as serious as the way it’s being reported. “This is a stalker who shows up from time to time unannounced and has been harassing her for a long time. The authorities have been notified of the same and a complaint has been filed," said the source. Earlier in the day, it was reported that Katrina is shooting amidst heavy security on the sets of her upcoming movie Merry Christmas in Mumbai. The source informed that there is nothing to worry about as there is heavy security on set and all precautions are always taken.

Meanwhile, Katrina is currently shooting with Vijay Sethupathi for Merry Christmas directed by Sriram Raghavan . Besides it, she also has Tiger 3 with Salman Khan, Phone Bhoot alongside Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. On the other hand, Vicky has Sam Bahadur, Govinda Naam Mera, Anand Tiwari’s untitled movie with Tripti Dimri , and another untitled film with Sara Ali Khan .
