Singer KK who had passed away on May 31 owing to a cardiac arrest post a concert in Kolkata will be cremated in Mumbai today (June 2). The late singer had collapsed in his hotel when he had complained of feeling discomfort but while he was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead after reaching there. Now the latest development has the CCTV footage of the hotel showing the singer walking in the lobby before he had collapsed.

Talking about the same, according to the CCTV footage of the hotel as shared by NDTV, KK can be seen walking in the lobby with a towel wrapped around his neck. This was sometime before he soon complained of chest pain and collapsed before being rushed to the hospital. It has been earlier reported that the ‘Kya Mujhe Pyaar’ singer was feeling unwell right after the concert and the bad management of the event authorities is being blamed for the same. Take a look at the part of the CCTV footage.

Earlier, a news report in PTI reported that the autopsy report of the singer gave a cardiac arrest as the prime reason for his death. However, a final autopsy report is also expected soon. However, grave negligence on the part of the staff of the concert organizers is being blamed for the deterioration of KK’s health. The first-hand account of the fans who were present at the concert was that the ‘Yaaron’ singer was sweating profusely but still the AC did not seem to be working and the auditorium also had poor ventilation facilities and was hugely overcrowded.

Chandan Maity, a staff of the Nazrul Manch auditorium where KK’s concert had taken place had earlier revealed to ANI, “Our seat capacity was 2,482 but the crowd was more than double the capacity. The crowd broke the gate.” Meanwhile, the singer had also interacted with a local news channel after his first show had concluded in Kolkata. Expressing his excitement to perform in the city, he told Sky 12, “It’s been two years since I performed in Kolkata. I have really missed this city, a lot of shows happen here. People here love me a lot, I love them too. It’s actually been a while since I performed at the Nazrul Manch. I am very excited. It’s God’s grace that people love me so much. When I was getting off the car, hundreds of people were standing around. So much love – I don’t know what to say. It’s overwhelming. I can only thank everyone. Thank you so much for all the love. I will keep trying that I keep singing for you."
